CENTCOM Launches Third Round of Iran Strikes After GFS Galaxy Attack

U.S. Central Command said its forces began a third round of strikes on Iran at 02:15 Israel time after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked the Cyprus-flagged container ship M/V GFS Galaxy in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel suffered a shipboard fire and heavy engine-room damage, with one civilian crew member missing. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Iran had made a poor choice and would now pay, while CENTCOM said Iran had again failed to honor the ship-attack memorandum of understanding.
