Herzog, Saar, Katz, Lapid, Bennett Lead Israeli Eulogies for Lindsey Graham

Official U.S. Senate portrait of Lindsey Graham

President Isaac Herzog led Israel's cross-aisle tribute Sunday morning to Sen. Lindsey Graham, saying he was 'shocked and heartbroken' at losing 'a beacon of moral clarity and a true leader of the US-Israel partnership.' Foreign Minister Gideon Saar called Graham the greatest senator and greatest friend; Defense Minister Israel Katz called him one of Israel's most steadfast supporters who traveled to Israel repeatedly after October 7; National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said Graham stood with Israel because he believed it was right. Opposition Leader Yair Lapid, former PM Naftali Bennett, and Yisrael Beiteinu chair Avigdor Lieberman also mourned him. Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan cited Graham's Christian faith as motivating his defense of Jewish return to the land.
