Preliminary Exam Finds Graham Died of Aortic Dissection

A preliminary examination by the D.C. medical examiner found that U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham died from an aortic dissection caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease, his office said late Sunday. Graham, 71, died Saturday after returning from meetings in Ukraine and hours after speaking with President Donald Trump. His office said the death certificate remains pending until toxicology and microscopic testing are complete, when the cause and manner of death will be formally updated. The finding supplies the first medical explanation for the sudden loss of one of Israel's most steadfast congressional allies.
