Bahrain Sounds New Missile Alerts as Iran Retaliates for Overnight U.S. Strikes

Bahrain activated missile-alert sirens early Monday as Iran retaliated for a new overnight wave of U.S. strikes, according to international and regional reports. Iranian reports described a possible missile attack and several explosions, while Bahrain's Interior Ministry was reported to have confirmed that the warning system had been activated. No verified hit, damage or casualty report was available at publication time. Bahrain hosts the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet, making any new Iranian strike there part of a widening confrontation across Israel's regional partners and U.S.-allied states after Iran also fired toward Jordan and other Gulf targets.
