Iranian Missiles Reportedly Target U.S.-Used Air Base in Jordan

Iranian state media said missiles were aimed early Monday at Jordan's Muwaffaq Salti Air Base as Tehran opened a new round of missile and drone attacks against U.S. positions across the region. Multiple Iranian reports described explosions at the facility or elsewhere in Jordan, while a separate international account said Iran claimed to have destroyed a command-and-control center and drone hangars in the U.S.-allied kingdom. Jordanian and U.S. authorities had not confirmed any hit, casualties or damage at publication time. The Azraq base hosts American forces, and escalation in Jordan, Israel's eastern neighbor, carries direct regional security significance.
