Police Probe Repeated Attacks on Japanika Branches Across Gush Dan

Dan District police are investigating repeated attacks on three Japanika restaurant branches across Gush Dan and whether the incidents were carried out by the same parties. A suspected arson attempt damaged a Givatayim branch, a pipe bomb damaged the Ramat Gan branch’s frontage, and a fragmentation grenade damaged the entrance and window of a Kiryat Ono branch. No one was injured in any of the three attacks, and no suspects have been arrested. Investigators are collecting security-camera footage, forensic evidence and remnants from the explosive devices; police assess the background is criminal and are examining possible links among the scenes.
