Police Arrest Wanted Attack Suspect Found in Car Trunk Near Jerusalem

Border Police officers arrested a Palestinian wanted on suspicion of planning an imminent attack after finding him hidden in a vehicle trunk at the Tunnels Checkpoint south of Jerusalem, police said. Another Tulkarm resident was concealed beside him, and both were suspected of entering Israel illegally. In a separate stop hours later near the a-Za’im crossing, officers detained two more Palestinians carrying suspected forged Israeli identity cards. Police also arrested the Israeli citizen driving that vehicle, and all five suspects were transferred for questioning.
