First Families Move Into New Ebal Community in Samaria

The first families in Ebal's founding group moved into caravans in the new northern Samaria community on Thursday, transferring their belongings and beginning permanent residence at the site. The community was established on Mount Ebal after government approval and earlier preparations, and the first residential structures were placed there this year. Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan accompanied the families and said plans call for 600 families to live in Ebal. Additional founding families are expected to join, while an official ceremony was scheduled later Thursday with lawmakers and public figures.
