Landau Prize Ceremony Honors Nine in Israeli Science, Arts and Civic Life
Mifal HaPais presented its 2026 Landau Prizes on Wednesday evening, marking the award program’s 25th anniversary after a Weizmann Institute conference linking science and art and celebrating contributions to Israeli research, culture and society. Four science prizes went to Dan Peer, Irit Dinur, Alexandra Kalev and Leora Bilsky, while Iris Erez, Shahar Marom, the Jerusalem Piyyut Ensemble and Ido Dolev received arts prizes. Desert Stars received a special civic prize for work promoting dialogue and bridging divisions in Israeli society. Each of the nine recipients received NIS 150,000.
