U.S. Completes Evening Iran Strike Wave at Bandar Abbas

U.S. Central Command said it completed an evening wave of strikes against Iran at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, 4 a.m. in Israel. CENTCOM said precision munitions hit Iranian command centers, air-defense sites, missile and drone capabilities, and coastal-surveillance facilities at multiple locations including Bandar Abbas. The command said the operation was intended to reduce Iran's ability to threaten civilian crews and commercial vessels using the Strait of Hormuz. Earlier Wednesday, U.S. forces struck coastal defenses and cruise-missile storage and launch sites on Greater Tunb Island during a 90-minute wave.
