Eight Lightly Injured as Bus Hits Pole in Beersheba

Eight people were lightly injured Friday morning when a bus struck a pole on Shaul HaMelech Street near the Negev Mall in Beersheba. Emergency services received the report at about 11:17 and treated the driver and seven passengers at the scene. Magen David Adom ambulances evacuated all eight to Soroka Medical Center for further examination and treatment. Local reports described the collision as a self-involved crash, while the circumstances that caused the bus to leave its course and hit the pole had not yet been released.
