Israel's first heat wave of the season is forecast to begin Saturday and intensify through the first half of next week. Conditions are expected to become hot to sharav in the mountains and inland, while the coastal plain turns humid, with some easing later in the week. The Meteorological Service issued a red early heat-stress warning for the Beit Shean, Kinneret and Jordan valleys from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, alongside yellow warnings across many other regions. Friday itself will remain comparatively mild before temperatures rise over the weekend.
