Heat Loads Intensify Across Israel as Eilat Forecast Reaches 41°C

Israel's heat loads are set to intensify Saturday as temperatures rise slightly after morning cloud clears, according to the national forecast. Extreme heat stress is expected in the Kinneret Valley and along the Dead Sea coast, with heavy heat loads across the southern Golan slopes, northern valleys, Lower Galilee, coastal plain, Shephelah, Jordan Valley and Arava. The maximum ultraviolet index is forecast to be very high to extreme. Daytime highs include 31°C in Jerusalem, 30°C in Tel Aviv, 39°C at Ein Gedi and 41°C in Eilat. Even hotter conditions are forecast Sunday.
