Gaza Border March Attendance Estimates Range From 5,000 to 15,000

An estimated 15,000 people joined a march near the Gaza border calling for renewed Jewish settlement in northern Gaza, while police put attendance at about 5,000. Participants reached a point roughly 100 meters from the former community of Elei Sinai after security forces blocked the planned onward route. Ministers, cabinet members, lawmakers, bereaved families, wounded veterans and Gaza-border residents attended. The march called for rebuilding Nisanit, Dugit and Elei Sinai; Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich repeated that the Settlement Directorate is ready to establish three communities once Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gives approval.
