Likud Compromise Sets Convention Vote to Resume Tuesday

Likud reached a compromise Monday night over its disputed primary regulations, clearing a path for the party convention vote to resume Tuesday at noon if the party's supreme tribunal approves the agreement. The deal, reached after attorney Aryeh Twito withdrew a district-court petition, places every district representative within the first 35 slots. It creates a dedicated slot for people with disabilities, advances the new-woman and new-immigrant slots, and requires at least three of Netanyahu's nine reserved selections to be women. The party said it would publish the agreed regulations Tuesday morning.
