OpenAI is considering establishing a business-development operation in Israel and has begun recruiting for the Israeli market. The initial activity would focus on commercial ties with local technology companies rather than engineering, with a startup event alongside AWS expected later this month. An Israeli executive who recently left AWS has joined OpenAI's go-to-market team for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is expected to concentrate mainly on Israel. OpenAI's account-director vacancy targets Israeli digital-native companies, though the official listing says the role is based in Paris under a three-day hybrid office schedule.
