Hapoel Tel Aviv Beats Ludogorets 2-0 in European Return
Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Bulgarian champion Ludogorets 2-0 in Miskolc, Hungary, in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round. Omri Altman headed the opener from Stav Turiel's delivery just before halftime, and Chiko scored late after another Turiel set piece. About 6,000 Hapoel supporters attended the nominal home match, the club's first European fixture in 12 years. The result gives Elyaniv Barda's side a two-goal advantage before next week's return leg in Bulgaria, where the winner will advance to the third qualifying round.
