Hezbollah Lawmakers Brand Aoun's U.S. Visit a Failure
Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc said President Joseph Aoun's Washington visit failed to secure a U.S. commitment for a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon. In a statement issued after a Thursday meeting led by Mohammad Raad, the Iran-backed terror group's lawmakers accused Lebanon's authorities of concessions and foreign tutelage. The bloc rejected the U.S.-brokered framework with Israel and demanded full Israeli withdrawal. It said any discussion of its weapons outside the area south of the Litani should come only after an Israeli withdrawal and a national agreement on a security strategy.
