IDF Begins Expanded Judea-Samaria Raids After Deadly Attack

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth briefing community leaders in a conference room

IDF forces began expanded counterterrorism activity across Judea and Samaria overnight after Friday’s deadly shooting near Tell. Troops arrested nine wanted suspects accused of incitement and terror activity, questioned additional suspects and located weapons. Central Command chief Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth said the division was launching a broad operation to apprehend everyone involved in the attack and had deployed additional units. The measures follow the killing of two Israelis; the IDF said four terrorists were killed during the incident and the seized weapon was recovered.
