Trump Says Xi and Putin Pledged Not to Arm Iran

President Donald Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin had each assured him they would not sell weapons to Iran. Trump said Xi's assurance covered Chinese companies and that he took the Chinese leader at his word. He said Putin gave the same pledge, while describing both countries as not participating in Iran's conflict with the United States in his assessment. Trump warned that arming Tehran would be very bad for either country and against their interests, as U.S. strikes and Iranian attacks continued across the region.
