IDF Intercepts UAV at Jordan Border, Launch Origin Under Review

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of eight Israeli Air Force fighter jets flying in formation above arid terrain and scattered clouds

The Israeli Air Force intercepted an unmanned aerial vehicle detected along the Jordan border shortly before 6 a.m. Israel time on Tuesday. The IDF said the aircraft did not cross into Israeli territory and that no public alerts were activated under policy. The military said it is examining where the UAV was launched from. Official Hebrew and English IDF notices and the IAF notice gave the same account, with the IAF publishing its confirmation minutes after the first military announcement.
