An international partnership has opened nominations for the 2026 Jewish Teachers Award, which will recognize up to ten educators who teach Jewish Studies, Hebrew or Israel Studies at Jewish day schools outside Israel. Eligible nominees must be active teachers with at least three years of experience and cannot be serving as Israeli emissaries. Winners will be flown to Jerusalem and fully hosted for the Global Jewish Educators Summit from October 12 to 15. The Israeli Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism and UnitEd are leading the initiative, with nominations due August 17.
