IDF Finds Hezbollah Youth Publications Glorifying Khamenei and Martyrdom

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of seated women and girls in black clothing and red headbands holding portraits of Ali Khamenei

IDF troops patrolling villages and towns under Israeli operational control in southern Lebanon found weapons, terrorist infrastructure and publications produced by the Mahdi publishing house, part of Hezbollah's Imam al-Mahdi Scouts youth movement. One recovered postcard urged children to make reading part of daily life and displayed a photograph of Iran's former supreme leader Ali Khamenei on the reverse. The youth movement recruits children and teenagers in Hezbollah strongholds, while its publications portray Hezbollah terrorists as heroes and promote hostility toward Israel and self-sacrifice as martyrdom. Experts cited in the report described the system as ideological indoctrination and early recruitment for future Hezbollah operatives.
