Hamas Rejects Disarmament Before Israeli Withdrawal From Gaza

Hamas official Ghazi Hamad said the terrorist group would take no disarmament steps before Israeli forces withdraw from the Gaza Strip, challenging the sequence announced hours earlier by U.S. President Donald Trump. Trump said the Board of Peace had secured Hamas's complete disarmament through a phased, independently verified process in which Israeli forces would withdraw as weapons are surrendered. U.S. officials said the process would take roughly 200 to 250 days, beginning with police weapons and later covering heavy arms, tunnels and weapons factories. Israel has not publicly accepted the arrangement and remains skeptical that Hamas will surrender its arsenal.
