Iranian Major General Ali Abdollahi warned regional governments Saturday that any country acting as a defensive shield for the United States would "burn in the fire of war." Abdollahi, commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, urged Muslim countries to reconsider cooperation with Washington. He said the United States used bases in regional countries during the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign that began February 28, while Iran attacked U.S. bases and Israeli targets in response. The statement did not identify a specific country or announce a new military operation.
