IDF Officer Moderately Wounded in Southern Lebanon Operation

An IDF combat officer was moderately wounded overnight during an operational activity in southern Lebanon, the military said Saturday. The officer was evacuated to a hospital for treatment, and his family was notified. The military did not identify the officer, specify his unit or disclose where in southern Lebanon the incident occurred. The initial announcement also did not describe the cause of the injury or report other casualties. The official announcement was issued at 2:15 p.m. Israel time.
