Stevens Accuses El-Sayed of Scapegoating Jewish Americans

Rep. Haley Stevens accused Michigan Democratic Senate primary rival Abdul El-Sayed of trying to blame the country's problems on Jewish Americans in a post published Thursday. She responded after El-Sayed said AIPAC had backed “the least capable candidate in America” and argued voters wanted money kept at home rather than sent to a foreign government. Stevens also challenged El-Sayed's electability, citing his 2018 gubernatorial primary loss. The clash comes days before Tuesday's primary, with a Thursday Emerson College poll putting El-Sayed ahead 57% to 41% among likely Democratic voters.
