AIPAC-Linked PAC Tops $30 Million in Michigan Senate Primary

Michigan Democrats entered the final day before Tuesday's U.S. Senate primary with pro-Israel advocacy central to the contest between Rep. Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed. Federal Election Commission records cited in current reporting show AIPAC-affiliated United Democracy Project spent more than $30 million since June supporting Stevens and opposing El-Sayed. The investment is the group's largest in one race, while Stevens supports Israel and El-Sayed calls for ending U.S. weapons sales to Israel. The winner will face Republican Mike Rogers in a contest that could help determine Senate control.
