Ben Gurion Airport Prepares for 2.6 Million August Passengers

Ben Gurion Airport is preparing for about 2.6 million arriving and departing passengers during August, with 47 airlines scheduled to operate. On ordinary weekdays, 90,000 to 95,000 travelers are expected, rising to about 100,000 on August 6, 13, 17, 20 and 27. Greece, Cyprus, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Germany lead the projected destinations. The Israel Airports Authority advised passengers to arrive three hours before departure, check in in advance, confirm their terminal and updated flight time, use self-service baggage facilities and take public transportation where possible.
