Board of Peace Ties Full IDF Withdrawal to Complete Hamas Disarmament

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Board of Peace envoy Nickolay Mladenov shaking hands between Israeli flags.

The Board of Peace said a full IDF withdrawal beyond Gaza's Yellow Line would occur only after Hamas's disarmament is complete, covering light weapons, heavy arms and tunnels. Its roadmap links verified, phased Israeli withdrawals to the transfer and decommissioning of weapons under oversight by an international verification committee and stabilization force. Israel says it will not redeploy before Hamas is truly disarmed, warning the terrorist group could rebuild its infrastructure and again threaten Israeli communities. The board also said the Prime Minister's Office and National Security Council had received the materials weeks ago.
