Eisenkot Campaign Billboard in Cyprus Defaced With Palestinian Colors

A Hebrew-language campaign billboard for Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party was defaced with black, white and green paint on a road between Limassol and Larnaca in Cyprus. Red paint was smeared over the former IDF chief’s face, while the party slogan and name were covered in the colors of the Palestinian flag. The billboard had been placed to reach Israeli vacationers ahead of the October 27 election and had already drawn objections from some Cypriot figures. Eisenkot and Yashar had not immediately commented.
