Defense Minister Israel Katz launched a Likud-primary campaign Monday under the slogan ‘Finally, a Right-Wing Defense Minister,’ asking party members to vote for candidate 121. The campaign presents his tenure as a break from Israel’s previous security ‘conception’ and says the country now initiates, attacks and wins. Its materials credit Katz with a more offensive policy, stronger Jewish communities, expanded IDF operational freedom, blows to Iran’s terror network and the elimination of senior terrorist leaders. The campaign was released amid the Likud race for its Knesset slate ahead of Israel’s October election.
