Indian Cargo Vessel Sinks Off Hodeidah; All 14 Crew Rescued

India’s MSV Faize Noore Oliya capsized and sank after being struck about 13 nautical miles south of Houthi-held Hodeidah. All 14 crew members, including 13 Indian nationals, were rescued by Yemen’s coast guard and navy and taken to Mokha port. India’s shipping minister condemned the attack and directed maritime authorities to coordinate assistance for the rescued sailors. Reports differ on the weapon, describing a missile, gunfire or an explosive-laden boat, while the attacker’s identity has not been established. The incident occurred along Red Sea routes already facing Houthi-linked threats to commercial shipping.
