Qatar Says U.S.-Iran Draft Language Is Circulating Between Parties

Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed Al-Ansari said Tuesday that draft language for a possible U.S.-Iran resolution had been prepared and was circulating between the parties. Qatar said the contacts had moved from exchanging messages to drafting understandings, even as negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz remained unsettled. President Donald Trump has insisted that commercial ships receive free passage without Iranian tolls and warned that military action remains possible if no agreement is reached. The announcement came during Al-Ansari's weekly Foreign Ministry briefing, while separate reporting said Washington and Tehran still disputed Iran's control over navigation in the strait.
