Eitan Ginzburg, a former communications minister and deputy Knesset speaker, announced Wednesday that he will run in the October 27 election on Naftali Bennett's Beyachad slate. Ginzburg left Benny Gantz's Blue and White party in May, saying the Knesset had deteriorated and become a tool of the government. A former mayor of Ra'anana, he said the next government would have no grace period and no time for trial and error, and must begin repairing the country from its first day. Bennett welcomed him as a professional and dedicated public servant, framing the move as part of building a broad and stable Zionist government.
