NeuroThera Launches Yale Phase IIb Trial for Tourette Syndrome Treatment

NeuroThera Labs has initiated a Phase IIb clinical-trial site at the Yale Child Study Center in New Haven, expanding its study of SCI-110 for adults with Tourette syndrome. Led by Dr. Michael H. Bloch, the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover study will compare daily oral SCI-110 with placebo in participants aged 18 to 65. The cannabinoid-based candidate combines dronabinol and palmitoylethanolamide; the trial measures tic-severity changes at weeks 12 and 26 and monitors adverse events. NeuroThera says the study is also underway at Hannover Medical School and Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center.
