Hundreds of new recruits are joining the Nahal Brigade on Sunday as a new combat enlistment cycle begins. The brigade commander told the recruits they are entering Nahal at a historic time after the formation fought on the Gaza and Lebanon fronts and suffered heavy losses. He said fallen fighters and commanders stand behind them, and that their commanders are committed to building the next generation of combat soldiers. He added that while every force can obtain quality weapons, Israel’s advantage rests in its people.
