Survey Finds 77% of Israeli Teens Highly Motivated to Serve in IDF

An Israel Defense and Security Forum survey of 377 Israelis aged 16-18 found 77% highly motivated to serve in the IDF and about 57% highly motivated for combat duty. It found 75% support for mandatory conscription, while more than 60% described the IDF as victorious and 13% disagreed. High trust in senior command stood at 30%, compared with 41% reporting low or very low trust. Nearly 40% preferred infantry and 14% armor; IDSF said combat interest was the decade's highest, while interest in Home Front Command was lowest.
