Israel Finishes 10th at U18 Handball Euros; Peleg Wins Scoring Title

Israel's under-18 men's handball team finished 10th at the European Championship in Belgrade after a 39-29 loss to North Macedonia in Sunday's placement match. The team had already secured a place at the 2027 Under-19 World Championship. Captain Yonatan Peleg scored seven goals in the finale to reach 97 for the tournament and finish as its leading scorer. Israel led 20-19 at halftime before North Macedonia pulled away after the break; Nevo Messika paced Israel in the match with nine goals.
