Airports Authority Discloses Second Ben Gurion Drone Incursion in a Week

The Israel Airports Authority disclosed that a civilian drone entered Ben Gurion Airport's municipal airspace for the second time in less than a week, prompting a localized flight freeze that lasted several minutes. A control-room employee detected the drone approaching at 11:40, and airport control, operations and security teams tracked it while police searched for the operator. Police located the operator within an hour. An initial inquiry found that the unauthorized drone had been used to film a promotional video for a construction company, and the authority warned that such flights can seriously endanger aviation safety.
