Poll Finds 47% of Britons Want Fewer or No Israeli Immigrants

A new YouGov poll found that 47% of Britons want fewer or no immigrants from Israel, up eight points from 39% in 2016. Of respondents, 23% favored reducing Israeli immigration and 24% favored allowing none. Among voters who backed remaining in the European Union in 2016, the combined share seeking fewer or no Israeli immigrants rose from 27% to 41%, while the figure among Leave voters stayed at 52%. The results show a marked deterioration in British attitudes toward Israelis over the past decade.
