Qatar Says Eight Nations Will Announce Steps to Advance Gaza Plan

Qatar said eight Arab and Muslim-majority states will announce practical steps to move the U.S.-backed Gaza roadmap forward. Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari accused Israel of delaying the process after rejecting the Board of Peace plan and urged international pressure to implement its second phase. He said Hamas had accepted the plan and responsibility now rested with Israel. The group comprises Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Al-Ansari did not specify the measures or when they would be announced.
