Recordings from a closed meeting with Likud activists captured Justice Minister Yariv Levin saying the next government could appoint 10 Supreme Court justices, two-thirds of the bench. Levin said six justices are due to retire during the next term, while four seats are already vacant amid a deadlock on the Judicial Selection Committee. He named Dr. Aviad Bakshi and Dr. Rafi Biton among candidates he wants appointed and said the changes would reshape the court. Levin also said he would seek the justice portfolio again if Likud remains in power.
