Election Chief Orders Netanyahu Campaign Video With Children Removed

Central Elections Committee chairman Justice Noam Sohlberg issued a temporary order requiring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's campaign to remove a video that featured children and babies. The video was filmed at Jerusalem's Malha Mall and showed Netanyahu receiving support from passersby. All participants wore black paper wristbands, which the report said appeared to indicate advance screening. The committee said distributing the footage violated Section 2C of the Election Law, which prohibits involving children in election propaganda. The order concerns the campaign's continued use of the video.
