Jerusalem Light Rail Runs Until 2 AM for Selichot and Tishrei Holidays

Cfir, the company that operates the Jerusalem light rail Red Line, expanded night service starting Thursday evening, August 13. Trains run until 2:00 AM on Thursday nights and on Motzaei Shabbat, Saturday nights, with the arrangement in place through October 1. The extended schedule covers the Selichot nights of Elul, the Tishrei holidays and Chol HaMoed Sukkot. The late-night service is aimed at the crowds traveling to Selichot gatherings in the city center and the Old City basin during the pre-High-Holiday season.
