Review Confirms RSF Removed Two Terror-Linked Names From Gaza List

An independent review confirmed that Reporters Without Borders removed Mohammad Jarghoun and Mohamed Nasr Abu Huwaidi from records of Gaza journalists killed in connection with their work. Hamas's military wing identified Jarghoun as a member of its Rafah Brigade, while Palestinian Islamic Jihad identified Abu Huwaidi as a commander in its Central Military Media Unit. RSF's current methodology note says it updates the registry as new information emerges. RSF had not publicly explained the two removals or responded before publication, while the names remained in unrevised complaints submitted to the International Criminal Court.
