President Isaac Herzog hosted US Special Envoy Jared Kushner and Nickolay Mladenov, director-general of President Donald Trump's Board of Peace, at the President's Residence in Jerusalem on Monday. The talks focused on advancing the next stages in the Gaza Strip on the basis of Trump's 20-point plan. Herzog said the next stages in Gaza must ensure the security of the State of Israel and its citizens, and bring stability and a better future for the peoples of the region. He said he was impressed that Israel's security interest is a central component of the plan, and thanked Trump, Kushner, Mladenov and their teams for their work.
