Man Charged Over Belfast Attack on Israeli TV Crew Filming Antisemitism

Police in Northern Ireland charged a man in his 30s on Monday over Sunday's attack on an Israeli television crew filming a documentary on European antisemitism. Reporter Jonathan Roe and photographer Nadav Abs were interviewing people at a Belfast bar complex when a man turned on them after realizing they were Israeli and threw a beer glass that struck Abs in the head, causing a bleeding cut. The charges are assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, assault on police and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon, subject to prosecution review. DUP leader Gavin Robinson said no justification exists for violence against journalists because they are Israeli or Jewish.
