Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara told the High Court of Justice on Wednesday that the decision on a state commission of inquiry into the October 7 massacre should be left to the next government. She cited the restraint expected of a caretaker government during an election period, and proposed updating the court once the next government is constituted. Baharav-Miara reiterated that a state commission is the appropriate instrument for examining the failure, and warned that delay could harm its effectiveness and cause evidentiary damage.
