Transport Ministry Computer Crash Halts Nationwide Licensing Services

A failure in the Ministry of Transport and Road Safety's computer systems disrupted its online services and counter services at licensing bureaus across Israel on Wednesday. The ministry said a range of digital services could not be completed, and that in-person service at licensing offices was disrupted nationwide. It said the malfunction was being handled by professional staff, that it was working to restore all services as soon as possible, and that it would update the public when systems return to full operation. Reporting on the outage said a cyberattack was among the possibilities being examined, a line the ministry did not confirm, and no restoration time was given.
